A study aid

Marina Magazine summarises the U.S. Inland Navigation Rules and the U.S. Aids to Navigation System to help you learn them. It is not the rule text, not legal advice, not a boating safety course and not a substitute for an approved boater education course, a chart, or good seamanship. Local rules, the International Rules (COLREGS) and the Western Rivers and Intracoastal Waterway variations can differ. The official rules govern.

Your logbook

A logbook holds only which cards you answered, how, and when. Anyone holding its private link can open it, so keep the link private. You can reset or delete it at any time.

The Deck Pass

$1.95 a month or $19.50 a year in US dollars, renewing until you cancel in PayPal; cancelling keeps the Pass to the end of the paid period. The Pass belongs to one logbook; keep that logbook's private link, because a lost link cannot be recovered. A logbook with a renewing Pass cannot be deleted until you cancel the Pass in PayPal. During the preview there is no checkout and every Pass feature is free.

Fair use

Up to 20 new logbooks a day per address and 600 recorded answers a day per logbook. Do not try to break, overload or scrape the site.
